ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Amazon Marketplace Manager is a strategic leadership position within the Retail Media team, designed for a professional with a deep passion for full-funnel commerce marketing. You will be responsible for the holistic success of a portfolio of major client accounts across the RMN landscape (including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and beyond), leading on integrated strategy, operational excellence, and client relationships with the support of a dedicated team.
A primary focus of this role is harmonising operations, working across retail readiness, and driving media performance. You will shape scalable processes and define best practices for end-to-end marketplace management; from brand registry and store consultation to sophisticated AMC-driven audience modeling. As a leader and mentor, you will have direct line management responsibility for Executives and Managers, ensuring the team delivers top-tier execution across both operational and advertising workstreams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Campaign & Marketplace Management
Integrated Strategy & Execution: Lead omnichannel Retail Media strategies across platforms including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Tesco, Boots and more to drive client profit. This includes auditing retail operations (e.g. keyword viability, pack size, and line extensions) and overseeing Joint Business Plan (JBP) support and negotiation strategies with retail media networks.
Operational Excellence: Oversee account setups across both Vendor and Seller models. Manage retail readiness workflows, including Brand Registry, PDP optimisation (copy, imagery, video), and Brand Store consultation to ensure content is built for conversion.
Full-Funnel Advertising: Direct high-impact media deployments, from Sponsored Ads to off-site CTV/OLV and DSP. Use advanced tools like Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) to build audiences and bespoke analysis for growth.
Performance & Insight: Drive team performance to exceed margin targets. Lead competitor audience and investment analysis and use multi-touchpoint attribution (moving beyond last-click) to reallocate budgets across channels for maximum client return.
Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance on daily operations and performance optimisation, ensuring the team maintains a digital shelf advantage while fostering innovation through the Croudie Network.
Data & Reporting
You will ensure the effective measurement of campaigns, providing insightful reporting that demonstrates value and drives strategic decisions.
You will guarantee that all client reports and deliverables are completed accurately and delivered on time by your team.
You will champion the sharing of learnings with the wider Retail Media, Paid Media, and Analytics teams to improve cross-channel performance.
You will analyse complex data sets to identify strategic opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
Croudie Network & Internal Processes
You will play an active role in defining Amazon Marketplace and Retail Media best practice and creating scalable processes to improve team efficiency.
You will innovate new technologies and ways of working, monitoring market trends to support internal growth and contribute to the tech roadmap.
You will stay up to date with new market tools and opportunities, sharing knowledge and driving adoption within the wider team.
You will advocate for knowledge sharing and drive the delivery of cross-channel processes and tools.
Client Service & Team Support
You will have direct line management of Account Executives and Managers, leading their development through regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
You will provide direction and guidance to your team to ensure the highest standards of communication and client service are maintained.
