ROLE OVERVIEW
As we embark on the next phase of our growth, we are seeking an experienced digital practitioner, who is passionate about delivering exceptional performance and results for our clients.
As a Director, the successful candidate is expected to be an strategic leader and cross-channel expert who can drive business growth and has a proven track record of:
Leading and scaling high-performance teams of 8 or more digital media specialists across a portfolio of several clients
A depth of campaign management and optimization experience that spans multiple verticals and channels (e.g. paid search, social and programmatic) with a deep understanding of integrated campaign strategy and execution
Ability to effectively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders, including C-suite and executive leadership to deliver client first solutions and strategic plans that drive practice and agency growth
Direct accountability for revenue outcomes, client and team retention, and departmental profitability targets
Developing organizational best practices and mentoring talent at multiple seniority levels across the department to elevate overall team capabilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
People management
Oversee and develop a team of 5-12 cross channel paid search, paid social and programmatic specialists across a varied client portfolio
Manage team towards personal development goals, internal operational targets, profitability metrics, and client NPS goals
Responsible for hiring decisions and team planning, including the building of talent pipelines for continued growth and secessions
Mentor and develop junior talent within team and foster greater skill development department wide
Client management and account strategy
Learn about our clients business, industry, and their marketing plans to provide best in class strategic guidance for their digital media
Partner directly with C-suite and senior client stakeholders to align digital media strategy and execution with broader business goals
Lead cross-channel strategy development and ensure specialist channel expertise is integrated into consistent and compelling strategic narratives
Own revenue accountability and client retention targets, proactively identifying growth opportunities and collaborating on renewal strategies with Client Leadership
Proactively create and deliver performance forecasts and related initiatives to deliver and surpass client performance goals
Stay informed on the latest industry developments and where applicable, ensure clients are kept up to date and understand any new challenges and opportunities
Operational management
Support team members to ensure campaign and operational delivery against client and internal KPIs
Lead the development of best practices and processes; build institutional knowledge for key functions
Contribute to new business development through thought leadership, pitch participation, and client relationship building
Drive innovation and emerging channel adoption to maintain competitive advantage and expand service offerings
Work with cross-functional teams to maintain and develop a best-in-class product offering for all digital channels
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
A clear passion for digital marketing and proven leadership in the space
Degree level education or relevant equivalent experience
Minimum of 8 years’ paid search, paid social and programmatic advertising experience
5+ years line management experience, mentoring and training
Enjoys leadership responsibility and talent development with a proven track record
Ability to level up by simplifying complex and technical concepts
A mathematical and analytical mind with strategic business acumen
Proven track record building strong partnerships with internal and external senior and C-suite stakeholders
Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills with executive level polish
Extensive experience in client expectation management roles and situations, able to manage and direct client expectations
Impeccable attention to detail
New business development experience and comfort with pitch processes
KEY STAKEHOLDERS
Line Manager: VP, Biddable
Direct Reports: Associate Director and/or Senior Account Manager(s)
Other stakeholders: The role will work closely with various teams including but not limited to New Business, Strategy & Planning, SEO and Analytics

COMPENSATION
Salary Range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 per year.
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
