Lana has been with Croud AU for two years as a Content Account Manager in our Sydney office. Read about her experience with Croud so far:
What makes you passionate about what you do?
The fast paced environment is really what gets me out of bed in the morning. Whether it’s giving feedback for an animated video we’re working on or ideating article topics for the month, there’s always something grabbing my attention.
What led you to Croud?
I found Croud in the final year of my uni degree while I was on the hunt for an internship opportunity that wouldn’t use me for coffee runs and dry cleaning pickups.
What is the most fulfilling thing about working at Croud?
It isn’t just the clients and projects that are constantly evolving - the team here has created one of the most nurturing environments I’ve ever worked in. There’s always a push for upskilling and development and there’s never been a shortage of social events in the calendar!
What is your favorite piece of career advice?
“If you know what you’re talking about, you can rock up to a client meeting wearing anything you want”. I like to think this refers to client relationships in general; they’re a whole lot more comfortable as soon as you open up and start viewing them as colleagues rather than clients.
How does your team inspire you?
The team has always championed cross channel collaboration and learning. With monthly Lunch & Learns, active chat rooms and a constant open dialogue, I never feel awkward to ask questions, even if I know next to nothing about a topic.
Describe your journey with Croud so far.
I started as an intern working 2 days a week, then moved into a part-time position after I finished uni. A couple of months later they gave me a full time contract and that was about 2 years ago!
What was your very first job?
My very first job was working at a dollar store after school at the local shopping centre. I think I was on about $10 an hour… I’ve come a long way since then.
