ROLE OVERVIEW


The VP, Biddable Media in New York is responsible for the growth, productivity and delivery of the biddable advertising division. Working closely within the senior management team to ensure consistent client growth and that Croud processes are upheld. Strengthening the New York PPC, Display & Social teams to the highest level to deliver client success, while working with the heads of each channel to develop the proposition. 

It is also the responsibility of the VP, Biddable Media to participate and enhance the New York management team, being the senior voice within the office. For example, proposition development, new business pitching, process implementation, and personal & team development would all form key parts of this role. Working closely to support other areas of the business, this role has scope to broaden further than biddable in the future, if desired.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES


Reporting lines

  • Reporting to the US Managing Director on a weekly basis on performance and growth of division 
  • You will form part of the US management team, playing an active role on feeding back suggestions on where improvements could be made; then executing agreed change initiatives
  • You’ll also provide regularly communications to Global Executive leadership team including CEO and CFO (based in London)

Customer growth & experience 

  • Driving the biddable proposition forward to deliver innovative and consistently excellent client engagement 
  • Driving strategic development of channels, e.g our programmatic TV offering or our Amazon advertising offering as an example
  • Work with key account managers / directors on retention and growth strategies for all clients
  • Working with key suppliers, e.g Google and GMP, Facebook, LinkedIn, The Trade Desk and more to strengthen and develop the relationship

Team management & operations

  • Work with the New York channel heads to ensure the development of their teams, output and processes; including regular 1-1 check-ins with direct reports
  • Monitor and check point the delivery of the OKRs alongside the New York management team
  • Work with the Chief of Global Operations and Global HR Director to ensure adoption of global operational processes within the New York office
  • Ensure excellence and standardization on global processes for items such Account Development Plans, resource utilization, margin, meeting attendance and personal development
  • Identify training needs for New York staff and work with the Training Manager on collating plans and delivery
  • Work on and driving forward core strategic initiatives identified by the business for example, new channel development

New business 

  • Working with the management and biddable teams to prioritize new business pitches, both strategic and tactical guidance

KPIs

  • Revenue growth across the biddable channels via new and current clients
  • Client satisfaction rates: measured bi-annually via NPS surveys
  • Management team contribution; regularly measured with MD
  • Staff retention: measured by churn rates and feedback from teams
  • Employee satisfaction:  measured by employee survey results for New York
  • Career development planning; personal plans agreed with key direct reports


PERSON SPECIFICATION


  • Degree level education or relevant equivalent experience
  • In-depth and demonstrable experience in Biddable Media roles, including hands on platform experience 
  • Proven line management experience, mentoring & training
  • Demonstrable experience with new business development and client growth
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and an ability to multitask
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and G-Suite skills 
  • Proven track record of working to deadlines
  • Proven time management skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and clients
  • Leadership skills: managing direct reports, a motivator
  • Clear passion for digital advertising and programmatic media buying

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
