VP Biddable Media - NYC

ROLE OVERVIEW


Croud US has been in the US for 4 years and has grown at 45% CAGR since. After a recent $40m investment from LDC, we’re looking to accelerate growth and bring in a senior Biddable Leader to run the team.

We are looking for a highly intelligent, charismatic and creative thinking individual who is passionate about and has a strong background and experience in Biddable Media.

The successful candidate will be keen to continue developing their career, want to strive for success and be keen to own and run their own business unit within an organization. 

The purpose of this role is to manage the overall Biddable media department at Croud in the US. This is a rapidly growing department that provides an excellent opportunity for personal growth and progression. This role forms part of the US Management team and will be expected to support driving the US Client Operations forward.

The role will be to own accountability for the performance of the Biddable media unit, which includes Paid Search, Paid Social and Programmatic buying. 

Lastly, the role will involve leading a team of 8, soon to be 10. Of which you’ll assume line management of 2 Associate Directors, who in turn manage the Account Managers and Associates.

MAIN ACTIVITIES / DUTIES


  • Report to the US Managing Director on a weekly basis on areas of operational excellence and areas of operational concern
  • Join the US management team meetings and feed into wider board meetings where relevant
  • Provide direction on strategy and strategy management for Biddable clients in order to increase profit
  • Ensure quarterly Account Development Plans (ADPs) are in place, executed and reviewed consistently, client performance is sustained and grown
  • Innovate new ideas, techniques and new products suitable for development of our clients strategy
  • Surprise and delight clients through innovation, knowledge share & insight; highlighting successes on a weekly basis (monthly for smaller clients). 
  • Support and provide guidance on client operations and performance across the team
  • Overall line management of the team. Direct line management of 2x Associate Directors, managing monthly 1:1s, Quarterly Performance Reviews (QPRs) & PDPs
  • Lead and drive recruitment with potential candidates and contribute to the final selection process
  • Manage and direct training and development needs for Biddable team members, support with organising training delivery from their teams
  • Advocate knowledge share, drive delivery of cross channel processes and sharing of tools. Lead by example and drive the Channel team to share knowledge cross team and cross channel
  • Contribute to the development roadmap of Croud’s in-house technology stack
  • Advocate company policy and process, actively seek client retention and ensure that the team is following your example. Actively work to deliver and ensure the team works to deliver against business goals such as margin, NPS, journal (time management) completion
  • Ensure each team member delivers at least one "Test & Learn" activity per month to support client innovation and to contribute to the internal Case Study process
  • Actively contribute and ensure contribution from the team to the new business process as required / requested by the sales team
  • Actively identify and convert opportunities for development of existing business and opportunities to upsell from Croud's suite of digital services

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


  • Degree level education or equivalent / relevant work experience
  • 7+ years in a Biddable Media role working within a digital organisation
  • Expert knowledge of current best practices and latest strategies across PPC, Paid Social and Programmatic
  • Proven track record in delivering client performance
  • Clear understanding of other digital marketing activities than the above, clear understanding of management of cross channel activities
  • Proven experience of client insight development, spotting future industry changes and being one step ahead of the curve
  • Excellent G-Suite knowledge including Slides, Docs and Sheets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, which must include Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead a results-driven team to strive to always exceed targets
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects, working and delivering to deadlines, leading the Biddable team to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Highly organised multi-tasker with impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills. Proven ability to influence, persuade and negotiate
  • Management and leadership skills: managing up, down and peer, a motivator
  • 4+ years line management experience, mentoring & training
  • Proven ability to develop client's business, be a trusted partner / consultant
  • Ability to maintain visible presence with client senior management

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
