ROLE OVERVIEW


We are looking for a highly intelligent, charismatic and creative thinking individual who is passionate about and has a strong background and experience in managing IT solutions and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be keen to learn, want to strive for success and have a desire to question everything. An analytical mind-set coupled with a creative flair is a must for this role along with the willingness to take a risk.

MAIN ACTIVITIES / DUTIES


  • Developing Croud’s IT capabilities as a business, standardising our hardware whilst developing and managing our IT systems and networks.
  • Reviewing and developing our IT infrastructure across all of our hubs (including both On-Premise and Cloud computing)
  • Creating and managing an IT helpdesk across all offices to provide assistance and resolution to all Croud employees
  • Developing Croud’s IT procurement process and workflows along with wider IT processes
  • Reviewing and improving Croud’s asset management capabilities
  • Ensuring telecommunications across the business are suitable for typical business workloads
  • Own, review and develop Croud’s IT infrastructure and IT management capabilities
  • Create, own and manage an IT helpdesk facility for all Croud office hubs to utilise and ensure uptime is maximised for all employees
  • Review all existing IT contracts and develop new arrangements/contracts alongside the CFO as required
  • Review and develop Croud’s IT procurement and purchasing policies
  • Ensure IT user hardware standardisation and work to maximise IT budget management
  • Lead Croud’s IT planning function in cooperation with Croud’s CIO
  • Responsible for IT policy development at Croud
  • Responsible for relevant IT system migrations as required
  • Own Croud’s G-Suite capabilities and set up to ensure that appropriate security is in place at all levels
  • Responsible for Croud’s IT asset management
  • SupportCroud’s Infosec capabilities in cooperation with Croud’s CIO
  • Assist CIO in promotion of security awareness and best practise through the business including supporting MFA, Lastpass, etc

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


  • Degree level education or equivalent / relevant work experience.
  • 6 + years in IT related manager roles
  • Expert knowledge of IT solutions and requirements
  • Ability to continuously demonstrate innovation and initiative.
  • Highly organised multi-tasker with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to influence, persuade and negotiate.
  • The ability to autonomously identify opportunities, generate ideas and formulate strategies.
  • Management and leadership skills: managing up, down and peer, a motivator.
  • 2+ years line management experience, mentoring & training.
  • Experience of maintaining security controls across corporate and BYOD assets

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
